This book deals with reproductive endocrinology. Reproductive endocrinology is a fast growing, sub- speciality of obstetrics and gynaecology, which addresses reproductive disorders that affect children, women and men. This branch aims at integrating and, in fact, harmonising the fields of gynaecology, infertility and endocrinology. The aim of the book is to provide the practising gynaecologist with recent developments and updated knowledge in this exciting field. Besides covering disorders of the thyroid, PCOS and diabetes, an important but often neglected area which has been given its due is puberty and growth disorders, ranging from early menarche to primary amenorrhea and Turner syndrome. This manual is meant to be a companion and quick reference to the important topics discussed in the Reproductive Endocrinology Workshop organised by the All India Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology (AICOG) in 2013. Written in an accessible and jargon-free style the book can be useful for medical practitioners, students and general readers as well.
